Makeup Classes for Aspiring Artists

The makeup and beauty industry is a fascinating, rewarding and a rapidly growing career choice. If you desire to become a beauty and fashion makeup artist, the best way to learn is from a professional makeup artist whose work you admire. Then combine that knowledge with continuous practice on others.

Makeup artist, Ann Marie Laurendeau has been teaching many various forms of makeup artistry for years by offering individual sessions to her clients plus workshops and seminars for college theater art students. Her classes are affordable and her teaching style is effective because class size is limited to small groups or individualized instruction and is tailored to meet the students' needs. She offers instruction for basic beauty, bridal and stage makeup. Additionally, Ann Marie offers starter makeup kits at a discounted price. Upon completion of this class many of her students have the opportunity to work for her at Anemone Makeup.

Keep in mind that there is no state requirement or certificate needed to work commercially as a beauty makeup artist. You will be judged on your talent, creativity, professionalism and skills needed to apply makeup to all kinds of people of different ages and skin colors. This can't be emphasized enough. Once you learn the basics - a lot of practice is what will make you successful in the end.

The cost is $350 for each one-on-one session and $300 for a group workshop. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a specific date. All workshops with Ann Marie Laurendeau are 3 hours each.
