Workshop Description
Learning the art of wedding hairstyling is essential to artists seeking to increase their earnings. Makeup artists are often required to provide basic grooming and hairstyling working for photo shoots and commercials. Knowing how to create beautiful bridal up-do’s and other popular wedding hairstyles is the next step towards expanding a makeup artist’s client base.
In this one day workshop Ann Marie Laurendeau, Boston Makeup Artist/Hairstylist and Anemone Makeup Founder, teaches students a variety of wedding hairstyles and bridal up-do’s including classic wedding hairstyles and today’s popular vintage looks.
Also taught in this workshop are Ann Marie’s tips on how to recommend a hairstyle based on the client’s hair type and face shape, and how to incorporate veils, fresh flowers, and other hair accessories to complete the hairstyle. This class is perfect for experienced makeup artists as well as hairstylists seeking to work in the wedding business.
The creation of each hairstyle is demonstrated on a model by Ann Marie as she instructs students step by step on how to achieve the completed style. Students will then repeat the style on their model guided by Ann Marie’s assistance.
