Giving Back to the Community
For the past ten years, Ann Marie has been an active community citizen and donated her personal time to Project Place - a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational programs and job placement services to Boston area individuals moving from welfare back to the workplace. Ann Marie teaches quarterly makeup workshops to Project Place graduates, including welfare recipients and victims of domestic abuse in preparation for their new beginnings in the working world.
As a woman business owner, Ann Marie feels particularly sensitive to the needs of these women, and is grateful that her students are always so pleased with their new looks. In recognition of her volunteer efforts with Project Place, Ann Marie was honored with a Community Partner Award in 2002.
